The Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs urges all Swiss citizens in Syria to leave the country now, as long as commercial transportation is still available.

On February 29, 2012 the Swiss Embassy in Damaskus has been temporarily closed.

Hours to the public:
The Consular Section at the Swiss Embassy in Damascus is closed and the services transferred to the Visa Offices of the Swiss Embassies in Beirut and Amman. No new visa applications will be accepted.
